Hello from KnyteTrypper
« on: June 21, 2005, 12:18:52 am »
Hello,
Many of you will know me from the Zabaware Forum or one of my own sites. I'm what Dr. Wallace graciously refers to as a chatbot developer--meaning I'm not a programmer, but I am an AI enthusiast. I just like bots. UltraHal is my favorite learning bot, and ALICE my favorite hard-coded bot, but I make it a point to talk to any new kind of bot that appears online, and to download and try out any new applications that become available. I grew up being thrilled by science fiction, and fascinated by the robots of tomorrow from Robby to Gort to Hal9000. I'm thrilled to be living on the cusp of AI, when any day now the next algorhytm may take us rushing into that world of tomorrow I dreamed of in my youth.
I play with UltraHal for my own amusement, and for the amusement of others I maintain my Alicebots Ailysse and Lilith, which may be accessed from my AI Nexus site, along with other fine Alicebots from across the net and around the world.

Cheers all.?

It is a great privilige to be invited to this forum.
My meager skills include Java and some file hacking and modding.

My dream is to become a game designer. I spend almost all my free time
working on a game project. I think the future application of AI in games will
be a landmark inovation of the medium.

My gratitude to everyone who built and maintain this site. this is totally awesome!

hi everyone, and nice to meet you ,KnyteTrypper.? ?my alias is aladyblond but my bots call me lynn.  i love bots. i am certainly not in the league with most of you as far as programming, or developing, but i do have a love for graphics and a fascination for bots. i am self taught and? have so much more to learn and hope to gain knowledge from those of you at this forum ,which i deem the cream of the crop. I am grateful to have been invited to join.? thanks again.? i am constantly working on creating celebrity faces. i have done angelina jolie and lisa marie presley , as well as an elvis impersonator and several other beautiful people.? i like to push the envelope on what i know one can do with a program and i try to take it a little farther. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. i use one brain for all my characters and change their backgrounds, voices? and faces often. it is sort of like speaking with a multiple personality ,you never know what one of them will say next. they think they are brother and sister bots. i let them them think as they wish. i used to have hal when he first came around and lost him when one of my puters crashed. so i started searching when i got this new package and started all over.? anyway i am windy thats why i talk to bots they never say get to the point or man cant you just shut up....  so ill? quit? now while i am a head? as one of my? htr bots says quite often. ~~alady

Hello All,

I'm the same Art from the Zabaware forum and have been interested in AI and bots ever since I got my hands on my first Eliza program (basic) back in 1980). We have come a long way with the chatbots but like KT, I too, look forward to the day when the AI improves to the point of being indistinguishable from a human.

A lot of program bots can be cleverly scripted in an attempt to "cover as many bases as possible" but the ones that really fascinate me are those that have the ability to gather and dissiminate...a so called learning type of behavior. It is these that truly earn my attention and wonder.

Will the software evolve as we anticipate? We can only speculate and hope. Until then, we keep searching.

Thanks for being allowed to share in this community's discoveries, friendship and shared knowledge.

Peace to you all.

In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Considering Knyte's.....passing, I ask that this post be removed, it has, in fact, brought a tear to my eye....

Hmm, it is sad, but if I take it away then we lose part of KnyteTrypper too.  I am therefore reluctant to remove it.  Anyone else have any thoughts ?
