Hi Guys,

New to the forum but not new to the artificial intelligence (A.I.) space.

A group of friends and myself are looking to build a product called WealRo (Wealth Robot) that will aim to use A.I. in the form of a chatbot that can also translate text-to-speech and speech-to-text and will be an in-ear voice assistant for your finances (inspiration from the movie 'Her').

Think of it as Siri for Saving. It will sit in the background as a budget and saving app and make suggestions to you on maximising saving on regular payments from your bank account and make suggestions like cancelling standing payments you no longer use or downgrading a Premium Netflix subscription to basic to save you money.

I wanted to;

1. find out your opinion on these platforms for anyone that has used them?

and

2. get your suggestions for features that you would like to see and find useful for a finance A.I. bot?

I know finances are boring but the aim is to start with something mundane that no one particularly likes to talk about or interact with (I currently use excel sheets) and get some A.I. involved to solve the problem.

We have bootstrapped together a landing page www.wealro.com so far and are looking to see if there is demand for it before we decide to build it rather than build it with no community support or beta testers and no one wants it.

Hi Zero,

The hope is it can help people on the borderline help solve their budget allocation problems.

Wealth inequality and poverty are obviously major issues for society and 62 people in the world have more wealth than 3.6bn of the poorest people and their wealth has increased by over $500tn since 2010 with that of the poorest falling by over $1tn!

Putting currency fluctuations for those countries aside I can see A.I. based financial budgeting with WealRo equalling the playing field and bringing results equivalent to Micro Lending or data driven agricultural farming in third-world countries. Not forgetting there are many families living in poverty in the UK and U.S. that could use this technology that all have smartphones in some shape or form. 50% of adults in the UK and most likely similar in the U.S. have no savings at all means lots of work needs to be done to address this.

A big mission but one we're trying to achieve one app download at a time!

A true parable that is to imply that giving someone money without teaching them how to budget is money wasted.

Lots of software is money driven and a lot is used in financial circles for stock transactions, historical analysis, trends, investment possibilities and recommendations, etc.

While wading through the output of these programs can and usually is a daunting task to say the least, it should be a human on the output end making the final decision, which is usually the case...for now.

Life is sort of like a giant sized Monopoly game where everyone starts out with the same money. A lot depends on skill, and chance but for a large part, a roll of the dice.

So, if I understand you correctly, people who create & sell WealRo won't earn more than, say, $2000 a month, right? Beyond that, all profits go to Action Against Hunger, right?

I can see where you are coming from and it will be a for profit venture priced to be a low as possible compared to other products out there that don't use A.I. but have budget elements and for the most part the saving and budgeting element of it will always be free only the investment part will incur a super low fee.

Would love to hear your thoughts on any features that you'd think would be useful and we are a small team at the moment bootstrapping with no outside investment just an idea and a dream. 😊

That is what we are aiming for in Chess Grand Master's teaming up with A.I. are much smarter than A.I. vs A.I. or A.I. vs humans. If the guys at Google Deepmind teamed up with Lee Se-Dol that would be an unstoppable combination!
