Since I joined a few days ago now, I should probably do the intro thing...

My name is "*pfrfrf* (inaudible)" and long ago (mid 1970s if you please) I acquired the nickname Ted. As my "*pfrfrf* (inaudible)" name is Germanic and in the early 60s moving to Australia there was still a lot of anti-Kraut sentiment, my playground mates convinced me that I needed a change.

On official paperwork I'm still "*pfrfrf* (inaudible)" but I think aside from immediate family no-one knows it any more and Ted will do nicely, or my alt account name PTEC3D.

As long back as I can remember I always wanted to do either tech science or vet science, and ended up an electronics / IT geek. I realised in the late 90s that Alice chatbots weren't the final state of the art in AI and we'd see some interesting developments

I'm now long retired and with disability and also more worried about the state of the planet. I started researching waste recycling, 3D printing, and good old fashioned armchair activism to make a difference.

I'll probably remain quiet until I've read around a bit more.
