[Robotguy]

Hi all, I'm new!

I've been building robots for a long time now (hence the name) and am interested in creating a small robot that can live on my desk at work and function as a rudimentary pet. I have decided that in order to be interesting it must be able to learn. Not fake learning like the original Furby, but real learning. Along those lines I have started putting my ideas together in a document:

I'm thinking the robot will be a simple microcontroller based system, with a wireless link to a Raspberry Pi running the learning algorithm.

Your past experiments / creations are pretty cool and quite ingenious. Just curious but why not a larger robot instead of a tiny deskbot? No matter how small it couldn't navigate on my cluttered desk...there's hardly room for my keyboard!

Good bunch of people here and most quite willing to chime in if and when they can so feel free to wander these virtual halls a while and get comfortable!
