Dear forum,

I studied Artificial Intelligence at Ohio State University under Deliang Wang.  Since then I have successfully completed many simulations regarding genetic algorithms. I have youtube videos describing and detailing these simulations.

My interests include:
..Mobile manipulation with robots.
...applying control theory to physical robots.
...scene understanding in Ai.   
...problems of episodic memory.
..AGI and strong Ai.

I am not another one of those machine learning guys.
I know very little or next to nothing about NLP, but I have recently started studying it more seriously.

I would think that the whole gambit of AI would encompass "machine learning", robotics, AGI and scene understanding in AI, to say the least. I would hope machine learning becomes an accepted and widely used feature in our appliances, homes, autos, stores, etc. in our very near future.

I see an AI within our cars communicating our location with regard to our home so that it might turn on necessary lighting, raise garage doors, adjust temperature within the home in anticipation of our arrival. It will know of our food, shopping, banking, vacation habits and as such will serve to assist us and benefit mankind as a whole (depending of course, upon its acceptance / availability).
