Kevin Erhard is working on a web video series about a robot butler named ELMer. If you'd like to find out more or even help fund the series, visit the ELMer project on IndiGoGo. We also got an email from Michael Niedzwicki of the Strychnin Gallery in Berlin telling us of their upcoming exhibition called 'Gentle Giants' about, you guessed it, robots! The exhibit starts on 15 July. Expect to see works by "many renowned robot and sculpture artist" and don't forget to post some photos if you go. Further out, ArtBots 2011 is coming up 7-9 Oct and the call for artists is out. The curators have no fixed idea of what constitutes robotic art, so let your imagination run wild: kinetic sculpture, music machines, interactive robotics, hi-tech, lo-tech, or just surprise us!
