is the first part of a two-part series focusing on
European robotics. At the invitation of
EUnited Robotics,
interviews were conducted at the
European Robotics Forum 2011,
held April 6-8, in Västerås, Sweden, jointly organized by the
European Robotics Technology Platform (EUROP)
and the
European Robotics Research Network (EURON),
and hosted by
Robotdalen.
The first interview is with Jessica Karlsson,
Communications Manager for
Robotdalen.
Robotdalen represents a Swedish initiative
aimed at enabling commercial success of new
ideas and research in robotics.
Next up is Ola Svanström, Head of
Product Management for
ABB Robotics,
a leader in industrial robotics.
Finally, we hear from
Professor Moshe Shoham
head of the Robotics Laboratory at
Technion,
Israel’s Institute of Technology.
As always, these interviews are preceded by a short
news segment, this time mentioning a boxing robot, called
Punching Pro, and Willow Garage's new
TurtleBot platform.
