Cali Lewis of GeekBeat.tv was at IFA 2011 last week, and took the opportunity to interview an iRobot representative (identified only as "Mike"), beginning at 2:44 in the segment linked here.  That video includes some nice closeups of the SUGV 310, a revision of the PackBot weighing only 12 Kg.

the guy is talking about war missions. well, i have an idea. we could send a mobile chatbot to afghanistan. it would spread a message of peace between people. on the end of it's mission, it would have to go back if it would be smart enough not to get inprisoned (to be in jail). if it would get inprisoned, we could send that criminal bot to save it
then if that bot would have children, it would have something to talk about to them. tanananaaaaaaaaaaaa, a hero bot, the one who saved the world, tanananaaaaaa.
