Title: Tentacles!
Post by: Art on November 04, 2017, 04:20:40 pm
Robotic tentacles from that innovative company, Festo. They are on the forefront of robotics with many robanimals or Aniroids or animobots...you get the picture.

While they're similar to the tentacles Freddy has in his store, these perform a bit differently:

Now how does that grab you?  ;D

i think a robot would suit being an octopus,  probably would work with slightly modified hexapod code.   would be cool fun to see.

Ranch, Check out some of Festo's Robotic creations. They obviously have a thing for animals as a great deal of their research of late, has been based on their design.  The Bionic Learning Network. I'd like to have stock in that company!

They have branch divisions around the world: http://festo.com/hq/en/cms/festo.htm# (http://festo.com/hq/en/cms/festo.htm#)
Part of their research with these creatures is to examine how they work and to hopefully inspire young people to work in the promising field of robotics.

making a robot an animal suits the stage of intellect we are at, right now.    no need to work out the bigger questions when the smaller questions havent been answered yet.
