Both the above are hefty downloads, but allow (amongst other things) you to develop applications that use speech recognition.

Thanks Freddy! I have the Speach SDK 5.1 but not the applications development kit (I'm downloading that one now). Good stuff!

Yeah, I can't believe we never came across this before, but at first glance it looks like you can use it along with VB Express, like other kits and program speech recognition into our programs.  Looks really good this, though it will be a few days before I can sit down with it, I'm looking forward to what it can do though.
