Multiple audio converter
« on: May 23, 2009, 12:57:33 am »
Multiple file conversion : http://www.imtoo.com/audio-encoder.html

I have a new system that produced this on a search, it has many programs for sale.
Personally I got the converter and it does two file conversions at a time without paying

I don't understand what uses things like 'OOG' formats but it has it as well.

Interesting.  There's also a free one called Audacity : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

OGG is a format similar to MP3 and is supposed to be better in some respects, it's used by Haptek/UltraHal.

I'm still using with XP the same old thing I had put on my PC with 98, named "dBpowerAmp Music Converter". The last free version is there (dunno about Vista):

OGG files are interesting in "Haptek version", with embedded informations providing lipsync to Haptek characters. I guess only PeoplePutty can do that, the only reason I finally bought it. :)

Yes Ogg format is actually a better one that MP3 from a sound and compression point of view.

I think a search for Vorbis might shed some light.

It seems, however, similar to the old BETAMax / VHS players. Beta actually had a better format and
better image quality but the marketing held VHS as the prodigal son of recorded media. And thus it was so.

Now Blu-Ray has taken favor with the industry until the next greatest media comes along.

Art,
Blue Ray is IMO like Vista.
It is their to market and generate money, but not everybody is so willing to give up DVD or HD,DVD for that matter.

Besides, what would the porn industry do?

The other difference is that MP3 is proprietary and you are supposed to pay a fee to use it, OGG uses a free license.
