Always did like the ogg codec. I'm not alone in this either. Since ogg doesn't have a patent because it is a FLOSS software, many companies choose to use it so as not to pay licensing fees. The same can be said of rar files as opposed to zip files.

But ogg files also seem to capture a bit better to. Might be my imagination but it just seems to. It certainly is a smaller container than the equivalent mp3.
