Hal 6 with Vista
« on: March 21, 2007, 12:35:32 am »
Hal 6 will work fine with the new Windows Vista if one runs it in Administrator mode.

Right click on the Hal icon.
Properties
Compatibility
(near bottom) Run as Administrator
Apply > OK

Run Hal and enjoy.

Thanks to Robert Medeksza for the tip and news of an upgrade of Hal just
around the corner.... ;)

Sorry Claude, I don't have Vista so I can't help, maybe someone else can.  If not then the Zabaware forum may be the best place to ask.

Claude2,

I think you might need to remove Hal traces in your registry.

Robert Medeksza explains where to go in your registry to do this at his www.zabaware.com site.

Afterwards, you should be able to install Hal.
