I think that if a general schema is created a new schema can be modelled off the old one ...
For me a schema would be. A new model about an object or thing or place or event or time ... If the computer could use the schema to create its own on the fly schema then the accoymaning retrieval and save code could be generated along with the keywords and learning patterns ... This would need to be added to a plugin and compiled to be called from the main source code ... Essentially writing it's own code and creating I s own tables in the DB ...

Some sociologists suggest that when we are children we have a single schema eat/sleep / deficate
As their knowledge of the world grows new schemes are added (like new plugins)
I think that the AI would need a similar type of thingy .... Evolving over time and it's knowledge of the world ... Building the main AI with a plugin mechanism allows for supervised evolution whereas self programming would be unsupervised evolution  ...
