I think GT is talking about that old Sci-Fi series called 'The Invaders'.  The main man was called David Vincent and he was one of the few people who knew about and fought against the Invaders - they used to glow red around the edges and disintegrate when they were killed.  I think it was in the 60's or maybe the early 70's too, it was in colour so it was around that time.

No Roswell creature or horrible monsters in "The Invaders". Aliens were much more terrible: they looked like normal people.

I remember it (named "Quincy"), something like 20 years ago.

Maybe now on specialized cable channels (retro TV series). I don't know.

'The Invaders' used to be shown here in the UK during the 80's, I was not born when it came out originally.

As for Quincey, we used to get it around the same time as they aired 'The Invaders' funnily enough, but it is rarely shown now.   I have seen it appear on some of the satellite channels - like GT says one's that shown older material.  I was a big Quincey fan when I was a kid though, it was a great show.

Out of all the shows from that period the only one you still see regularly here is Columbo and it's still a great show to this day.  'Starsky and Hutch' made a brief appearence again when that new movie based on it came out - which incedentally is a funny movie and worth watching.

The writers were terrible but his acting made the show and I loved it.
