The following is just for a bit of humor. I didn't realize when I first began watching the following video that it was supposed to be comedy, so I began thinking, 'They're getting awfully weird and rough with that robot.' Then the truth hit me.

Because the cg videos are out,  you don't know whats fake and what isn't!

It's true that most are obviously fake, but these videos are so old that most likely it wasn't until 2011 or 2012. The new videos, however, are mostly just re-postings of the same videos done in 2013. These old videos also have a more realistic look to them. The video for this example is pretty much the same, but it has been edited into a more realistic and "accurate" look when compared to the earlier "fake" videos.

The problem isn't so much with the videos being fake, but the people in the comments section are making up the videos as they see fit. This kind of thing is incredibly frustrating for people, as this video is actually fairly informative, but it is not without its problems.

One of the biggest problems is that it is hard to understand that most of what's been put out as "fake" is actually accurate. No joke in those videos though, you have to understand the actual content of those videos to really notice their slight improvements. People are going against everything being said when they write on comments threads like this about "fake". It's not just on Facebook, it is pretty much on every social media platform (not counting Twitter where the thread is at, but I'm sure there are probably some).

Its hard to spot the fake bits.  im pretty sure when the robot is getting up from random prone positions that bit was real,  but when the robot cheesily gallops past the camera that could be just a cg reconstruction.

But if the programs cg reconstructions are that good,  it probably proof the same that they have the physics simulation working for the evolution trials, and its nicely synched to reality, just they like to be tricky about things.
