Title: (music) Nanocyte
Post by: LOCKSUIT on January 11, 2017, 09:10:13 pm
During the last week I made this song. It took about 2-3 days (non-full work days).

I also started reading these books too:

- Nick Bostrom-Superintelligence Paths, Dangers, Strategies-Oxford University Press (2014)
- Ray Kurzweil - The age of Spiritual Machines.
- Ray Kurzweil - The Singularity Is Near.
- Our Final Invention.
- The Master Algorithm

- The Cybernetic Brain Sketches

Has anyone else here read any of those books?

I haven't read any of them. All my reading has been very very goal oriented. Algorithms, current research, things like that. I enjoyed the "pie in the sky" stuff when I was still in school, but I'm running out of years to accomplish my dreams, so I'm staying grounded in reality.

I couldn't help wondering, you said you started reading all of them. Didn't you finish reading any of them? Why is that then?

No, and some of them sounded cringey and inadequate.

I just feast everywhere

I started reading them 5 days ago.

I'm done scanning areas and the idea of The Cybernetic Brain Sketches.

I read ALL of this plus made sure I had each word/answer (scan) severely http://www.superintelligence.ch/Superintelligence.pdf. (http://www.superintelligence.ch/Superintelligence.pdf.)

Done and read most of plus severely scanned Ray Kurzweil - The age of Spiritual Machines.
(Ray's a good guy)

Read places and select chapters like the first from Our Final Invention (can't find free book, please send me it).

Halfway through Nick Bostrom-Superintelligence Paths, Dangers, Strategies-Oxford University Press (2014).

On page 42 of 353 of The Master Algorithm.

Made a list of about 100 crazy intensive things to add its everywhere but will be structured soon once again.

Uuh.....I'm scanning THIS

ノ( ̄┏_┓ ̄)ノ

Totally "lol-ed" when I read this piece from The Master Algorithm:
"Machine learning is the scientific method on steroids."

Lock,

Yes, I have read three of them and found them great reads and quite enlightening, as I suspected.

- Ray Kurzweil - The age of Spiritual Machines.
- Ray Kurzweil - The Singularity Is Near.
- James Barrat - Our Final Invention.

You might also try Beyond AI - J. Storrs hall, PhD. (Ray Kurzweil even recommended this book).

Sure, some books of this type might be fiction or conjecture but they might also serve to spark a renewed interest or an overlooked "what-it" in someone's imagination.

It was more, amazing, than scary, something great/powerful. I wasn't scared.

I've had many interesting dreams. One was this hovering ship above rock-dry ground, it was the AI, pulse pulse pulse pulse nuke/pulse at ground, it was decisive*, then twiddling-on music like mystery "dodo-dodo-dodo do" on into this building, up the stairway, it was going to do something next.

Last night I swear I had exo-sensory of this dogs mouth, I could feel the wetness inside as a neural net, yet, was not my tongue or arm, it was a new sensory! Like new body. That was weird. And I felt as watched, so, not like I was in some body. My knowledge base says if you think so then it is so - if you think you just heard a bee, you probably did (it matched a memory stored in your brain!). Though memories do indeed self-fire, too.
