4th of July

Strangely, they still celebrate by eating hot dogs. Since they don't have mouths, they just kinda toss them in the air and let them fall back down into their propeller blades. It's pretty messy.

Amazing how well they can control them.

I've spent the past few months learning how to build and fly racing drones. The best path to learning is to first buy a radio controller (Taranis QX7 is currently the recommended model, but any radio controller or game controller can be used) and then practice using a drone flight simulator (I'm using https://thedroneracingleague.com/ but there are several good free and paid simulators to choose from). It took me many hours of practice over several weeks before I could fly a simple course without crashing every few seconds. It's as difficult as learning to play a musical instrument, but once muscle memory starts to take over it becomes easy and fun.

This is the kind of flying that we can aspire to...

I might get into it at some point, it does appeal to me a lot, especially getting a camera on there.

That guy's flying was exceptional, the dog seemed to enjoy it too  ;D
