Turing Test: What is it - and why isn't it the definitive word in artificial intelligence?
9 June 2014, 12:00 am

The test was first proposed by the British mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing who, in his 1950 paper "Computing Machinery and Intelligence", asked a simple question: "Can machines think?" Turing later finessed this to "can machines do what we (as thinking entities) can do?" The Independent - Gadgets and Tech (UK)Link.

Alan Turing did not actually ask that question, he submitted a much debated question for review and suggested it be thrown out the window.

the original test came from a time when computers the size of buildings were less powerful than our current smartphones - the fact that it's no longer as relevant as we first thought can be celebrated too.
Hear, hear. Some good came of it.
CO2 retains heat. More CO2 in the air = hotter climate.

In good old times you could put a human inside of box of a room size, just to pretend to be an intelligent computer.

But now? how to put a human inside a smart phone?

Better maybe to put a smartphone inside of a human.
"The human connection"  ^-^
