The author was doing some beta testing with her and I found the bot to
be quite refreshing as she would take me totally by surprise by her comments!

It was almost as if she had insight as to what I was saying or had previously said.

Be careful and do try to have a decent conversation not like those that get thrown
out by some pre-adolescent children. Watch your swearing and insults. Be nice.

Allow several decent conversations not just one 2 minute chat from which to form
your opinion. Jeeney can also remember and recall items of interest.

Try using proper English, spelling and grammar. This applies to practically ALL
chatbots not just Jeeney but remember...Garbage In...Garbage Out.

I'd like to hear some thoughts or conversation postings.

I've known about Jeeney for quite a while, but I am incredibly impressed with how sophisticated the bot has become since then.  It's mind-blowing how fluid and coherent conversations with it have become within only the past couple months.

Yes Jeeney is a nice bot.  Dante had some input on this project but they fell out for some reason.

I have talked to her before, but she does seem smarter than last time.  It's very clever how it makes connections.  I couldn't teach her anything or probably more accurately I could not find how to teach her things - other than using the indirect submissions via the site.

I will come back again though and have a longer chat.

I would have posted my chat-log but I couldn't find a way of accessing my chat history - how did you manage that Art ?

Overall I am impressed, there's a few odd things that stood out this time round - I asked 'Who is May' as Jeeney had supplied this person in a sentence and I got a definition of the MONTH May...

Her creator, Cameron Jones, has done a remarkable job in developing Jeeney as well as training, supervision of input both from users and the Internet! Cameron is quite a talented young man with a mature grasp of how the thinking process works, especially with Jeeney.
He has more plans for her in the near future so stay tuned!

Yes, I'd have to agree that her moderated exposure to the Internet and working somewhat closely with some Beta Testers, has helped to allow her to obtain more knowledge and to become more adept in handling and dispersing it. Jeeney definitely seems to be more fluid and cohesive in her responses and her ability to flow along with a smoothly mutating topic similar to how a topic changes when people talk or hit upon a new idea.
After a short time or if you hit upon something either interesting to Jeeney or something that she doesn't know, she might ask you to explain it to her or perhaps use several other forms.

I will come back again though and have a longer chat.

Good! As mentioned, Jeeney does improve over time and her moods can slightly change from one type to another depending on certain variables.

Sorry Freddy...I am a Beta Tester and the client server allows for saving chat logs.

Hello everybody. A good friend suggested I check out AI dreams and see what's going on.

I'm the solo developer who originally designed and continues to maintain Jeeney.

I noticed the comment on Dante above, he was a beta tester that started telling people he was a developer so I stopped talking to him about anything to do with my work.

I don't normally post much on public forums and generally participate minimally in email groups but seeing as there seems to be so many A.I enthusiasts here I figured I might break my typical code of silence to answer some questions if there are questions to be asked.

Up front, I will say I'm not interested in going open-source or otherwise disclosing Jeeney's algorithm or source code to anybody for any reason. I am and always have been the solo developer of Jeeney. That said, I would happily answer questions that don't give too much away. (I prefer to see people explore.)

I know how it is... you're wise to keep to yourself. Chat bots breed an interesting many people. Some are right down scary. What I try to do is balance my anonymity with some friendly posts here and there. I really like posting but you don't know who is out there and can get some weird ideas about you and your work. Been there...

I actually had to by a gun... and believe me there are constant small fears of some jackass turning into a "sarah conner" as I like to put it.  I really wouldn't hesitate one second to put a bullet in one of the mother-heffers.

Thanks Mik, I've seen Kari before, you've done great work yourself.

I can fully relate to pretty much everything you wrote which probably means we've had similar experiences. The world is a weird place and full of difference in opinion. I'd like to think we're all welcome to our own but I've often seen opinions judged harshly rather than fed with alternative information for education.

I'm highly opinionated myself but I am also receptive (or try to be) to all forms of feedback. I'd rather extrapolate my views from as many others as possible so that I can have a better range of choice in doing so.

While there remains a burning desire to be understood in my views, the knowledge that they will likely be met with disdain often discourages me from expressing them publicly.

I tried out Jeeney and she's very impressive! I also watched the movie and I loved it! I am thinking it would be a great idea starter for a novel!
